Overdetermined - In Search of Stones

I've just finished (after many, many months and interuptions) reading M. Scott Pecks book "In Search of Stones".

Whilst the book had a really strong beginning, and I was especially glad to learn of the concept of overdetermination, and his arguments of why evil and war will always exist, I was saddened when I jumped on to Wikipedia to see what he was doing to find out he died 5 years ago (the book was written in 1995), he had seperated from his wife the year before that and remarried, and the organisation FCE, which he had pushed so hard during his book, had folded in 2002.

To spend a man reading about a man's beliefs and dreams, only to know that they then all came crashing down, it's almost overdetermined.
